The UCD® E colorants’ unique offering is that they contain no added Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC).
These colorants are appropriate for use in most water-based industrial coating systems, but have been designed to provide exceptional performance in heavy-duty industrial coatings.
UCD® E Line colorants utilize a distinctive proprietary acrylic resin that provides excellent pigment wetting. This feature makes high pigment concentrations possible at relatively low millbase solids levels.
For the paint formulator, this means less millbase resin added to paint. Also, less colorant is required in formulations that employ these colorants as a tinter or for full pigmentation. The result: huge savings in valuable inventory space.
UCD® E Line colorants provide excellent performance through ease of incorporation and resistance to flooding, floating and flocculation.
These do not negatively affect paint physical properties. Once the coating is dry, the dispersing resin in the UCD® E Line will be insoluble in water. Benefits of these colorants in industrial coatings include improved water resistance and block resistance.
