“The Use of Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes in Coatings Colorants”
Andrew Bartlett, Coatings Product Development Team Lead, will present “The Use of Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes in Coatings Colorants.”
Carbon nanotubes are a special subset of nanoparticles that contain their own set regulations and difficulties. Chromaflo created single-walled carbon nanotube dispersions (SWNCT) that can be used for coatings and/or colorants in coatings. This takes the potential issues of handling SWCNT out of paint companies’ plants with the replacement of easy-to-use dispersions or colorants that can contain SWCNT. Imagine using an electrostatic dissipative floor coating in colors other than grey and dark grey. Or improving properties such as hardness, chemical resistance, thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity, and impact strength with minimal effect on color. The following presentation discusses the SWCNT dispersions, potential use in colorant dispersions, types of improved gains, advantages, disadvantages, and color sacrifice, if necessary.

Process flow software or Project Management software are not new ideas either. The combined application of these concepts can digitize your coatings lab processes and improve efficiency in your lab. The presentation discusses the digital transformation process at Chromaflo, types of improved gains, types of managerial reports, advantages and disadvantages.
