Despite the widespread effects of COVID-19, including a complete disruption of global supply chains, a shortage of workers throughout the globe and inflation, we continue to work on improving our business while dealing with these substantial challenges throughout 2021. Though the challenges noted are close to all-absorbing, the entire Chromaflo team is focused on providing its technical products to customers as best as possible.
But we are also not taking our eye off the opportunities to enhance our abilities to serve customers beyond COVID-19 and a restoration of the supply chain. These enhancements include a new warehouse in Sittard Netherlands and the consolidation of our South African business into one manufacturing center. We have also begun manufacturing trial batches of our colorants at our new Uruguay plant, having received our full operating license.
Our technical team continues to introduce new technologies such as our FLV line of industrial colorants based on a sustainable binder made from renewable sources.
I know right now, it does not feel like things are improving, and from a supply chain perspective, it feels more like the game of “whack a mole,” where as soon as one problem is addressed, others seem to pop up.
However, we are on top of the issues, and these unprecedented challenges will pass. When they do pass, Chromaflo will be significantly better able to serve our customers because we are moving forward with continued investments in our people, our manufacturing sites and our industry-leading technologies.
